Publishing to the Community Gallery

The difference between private, public and remixable, and public but view-only — and how likes and comments work.

Every app starts private — only you can see it. From the studio's gallery-visibility menu, you can publish it as one of two public states.

Public — remixable vs. public — view only

"Public — remixable" lists your app in the Community Gallery where anyone can open it and copy it into their own account with one click, then keep building on their copy. "Public — view only" lists it the same way, but visitors can open the app and comment on it without being able to copy it — useful when you want people to see and discuss the work without forking it.

Likes and comments

Published apps can be liked and commented on from the gallery. Both require a signed-in account (so activity is attributed, not anonymous), and you can delete your own comment — or, if it's your app, any comment on it — at any time.
